The Enabling Works for HMP Inverclyde shall transform the site currently occupied by St Columba High and Glenburn Schools, Greenock into a fully cleared and prepared site for the future construction of a new prison (HMP Inverclyde).
The specific ‘Enabling Works' shall be set out in the forthcoming ITT and are likely to include the following: Managing of statutory approvals; Roadworks; Construction of a new access bridge; Diversion of the Spango Burn; Ground modelling and Landscaping; Surveys (various); Demolitions, Concrete crushing and Stock-piling for re-use; Bulk earthwork cut/fill package - creating a site platform; Remediation works; Removal of existing trees/planting; Disconnection and removal of existing services; Provision of new incoming services; Diversion of water main; Permanent fencing of the site; and Management of the site until a point in time (defined by the SPS).
