II.2)Quantity or scope of the contract
II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:This is a call-off contract for the catering service of all five Northern Ireland Education and Library Boards to use for the purchase of heavy catering refrigeration equipment (including refrigerators, freezers, blast chillers, refrigerated display units and refrigerated well units) to school meals kitchens and other educational establishments throughout Northern Ireland as and when required during the period of the contract. The estimated annual value of the contract is 480 000 GBP. However, the Board can give no guarantee of the value of business, or number of orders which will be placed, during the period of this forthcoming contract as these are subject to the Boards' requirements and available funding.

Description of these options: Contract period: the initial contract period is for 16 months with option to extend for 2 further periods of 12 months each. A further 3 month maximum extension option is also included should it be required due to a delay in the establishment of any succeeding contract.
