Range: between 200 000 and 400 000 GBP
II.2.2)Information about options
Options: yes
Description of these options: - Option 1 no change in either licence set or licence mode. This option looks at the provision of support for our existing Cognos licences. It effectively would allow the University to remain supported, using mainly Cognos8 type functionality within a Cognos10 environment,
- Option 2 change in licence set. This option explores the potential of making better use of Cognos10 functionality by either procuring licences and or migrating some of our current Cognos8 licences. The requirement here is to acquire the following Cognos10 licence set:
-- 50 IBM Cognos10 Advanced Business Author licences,
-- 100 IBM Cognos10 Enhanced Consumer licences.
- Option 3 change in licence model. The University of Ulster currently have a Per seat licence agreement with IBM for the licence set. This option explores the potential to migrate the Universitys existing BI consumer licence set to a PVU based licensing model. This would effectively remove the restrictions on the number of consumers.
