The University of Hull is engaging in an ambitious programme to enhance its research capability. In particular it is seeking to deploy a new high-performance computer (HPC) for use by the University's academic community.
The system will:
- provide general-purpose capabilities and should provide good performance across a range of end user applications;
- follow a standard HPC design pattern and include head nodes, compute, high-performance storage, visualisation nodes and a high-performance network.
The go-live date is March 2016.
