Herefordshire Council is seeking to commission its pupil referral services by identifying a preferred provider to manage their delivery.
The overall aims of the services are:
i) to deliver a ‘suitable education for permanently excluded pupils, and for other pupils who - because of illness or other reasons - would not receive suitable education without such arrangements being made' (DfE Guidance on Alternative Provision; 2013); and,
ii) to provide a high quality, specialist outreach service that schools wish to purchase in order to address the needs of individual pupils in mainstream schools and to up-skill their staff in appropriate behaviour management techniques.
