The University of Sheffield is out to tender on behalf of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering for a provision of a battery storage system as part on an innovative large scale project on grid connected energy storage systems (ESS).
The University of Sheffield is constructing a novel full-scale 11kV grid connected energy storage based facility for academic and industrial research. You are invited to tender for the provision of a lithium-titanate battery storage system capable of providing 2MW of power for at least 15 minutes as part of this project. You will be expected to work with our inverter supplier to deliver, install and commission one system in the midlands, UK. The full technical specification will be available in both the PQQ and ITT documents, which will be sent to you once you have expressed your interest
This contract is is being re-tendered as a result of the cancellation of a previously awarded project. As such it is being re-advertised using the Accelerated Restricted procedure. This is a two part process with a 10 day pre-qualification stage, followed by a 10 day ITT (invitation to tender) stage. Potential suppliers are invited to express an interest in the project and submit their PQQ submission by Thursday 13.2.2014.
The closing date for return of PQQ documents is Friday 14.2.2014 at 12:00 noon (UK time). Tenders (PQQ and ITT) must be submitted via the In-tend e-tendering system.
