Added Value Portal Limited, on behalf of Harrogate Grammar School Academy Trust wishes to appoint a number of suppliers on a framework agreement for the supply, installation, maintenance and support of Wireless, Cabling and Hardware Infrastructure. The framework agreement will be open for the use of all UK Public Sector Bodies to include but not limited to he Science and Technology Facilities Council, The Medical Research Council, The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, The Economic and Social Research Council, The Natural Environment Research Council, The Arts and Humanities Research Council, The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, The UKSBS Ltd, Central Government Departments and their Agencies, Non Departmental Public Bodies, NHS bodies, Local Authorities, Voluntary Sector Charities, and/or other private organisations acting as managing agents or procuring on behalf of these UK bodies. II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:
The Agreement will be divided into Lots (as listed below) and suppliers may submit proposals for one or more Lots.
Lot 1 - Wireless - This lot is for the design, supply and installation of wireless technology. The wireless technology will need to be able to integrate and complement existing installations where feasible.
Lot 2 - Network Cabling - This lot is for the design, supply and installation of Local cabling systems and subsystem components to include cable, termination hardware, supporting hardware, and miscellany that will provide a complete cabling network that will support voice and data.
Lot 3 - Hardware Infrastructure - This lot will include the supply, maintenance and support of the server and other associated hardware required for the operation of a wireless and or cabling system along with a number of optional upgrades.
Lot 4 - Turnkey Wireless, Network Cabling and Hardware Infrastructure - This lot will include all of the above on a turnkey holistic solution.
Information relevant to all lots
All lots will need to be supported both in terms of maintenance of the installed technology and systems and continual on-going support by accredited engineers. The framework agreement will support and include innovation and incorporate new ideas within scope of the requirement as deemed necessary.
All prices will be based on individual sites undertaking a further competition of their exact requirements. This will be undertaken between those framework suppliers in each relevant lot.
It is anticipated that following a further competition event the appointed supplier will be fixed for a period of time to allow standardisation, continuity of supply, service and warranties.
