Dorset CCG is responsible for commissioning the IT support for GPs and their systems. NHS England Area team is ultimately responsible for this service. The area team transfers the funding and responsibility to commission this service to the CCG. The service is required to deliver the core and mandated services as defined in 'Securing excellence in GP IT services - Operating Model' published by NHS England in December 2012. The service will include: - - IT Maintenance and Service Desk - GP clinical systems - Networking Services - Software Licences Register - National Systems Implementation - Information Governance Management - Hardware Management (including managing the asset register and proactive and preventative maintenance).
