Cambridgeshire County Council, on behalf of LGSS members and customers, has a requirement to establish a framework for asbestos consultancy services. This framework will be made up of between 5-7 providers and will include the following elements:
- A list of approved consultants that will be used to tender for Management Surveys and for Refurbishment and Demolition surveys of CCC, NCC or other accessing body's property portfolio as and when these are required;
- Analysis of samples delivered by 3rd parties;
- Re-inspections and Management Plans;
- Provision of Management Survey information on a third party developed online management system (to be identified in the formal tender documents);
- A pull-off schedule of rates contract for asbestos consultancy for:
- 4 stage clearance and air reassurance monitoring;
- On site asbestos removal monitoring services including witnessing smoke tests;
- bulk sampling and analysis of samples;
- Incident investigation services;
- A rate for asbestos abatement and removal project management and general asbestos consultancy services;
- A rate for emergency site attendance;
- A rate for the provision of asbestos management training;
- A rate for attending site to carry out minor (i.e. non-licensed and or non-notifiable non-licensed) asbestos abatement services.
Scope:
This framework is open to Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire County Councils and to:
(i) all of LGSS's existing and or future partners and any other organisations delegating services and or functions to LGSS (currently Cambridgeshire County Council, Northamptonshire County Council, Northampton Borough Council and Norwich City Council) who participate in the LGSS's shared services venture;
(ii)customers of LGSS,
(iii)to any city, district and/or borough local authorities within the county of Cambridgeshire and/or Northamptonshire,
(iv)any company and or organisations set up by Cambridgeshire and or Northamptonshire County Council; and
(v) any School or Academy within Northamptonshire or Cambridgeshire
Access to this framework shall strictly be governed by the appointed LGSS contract managers.
This framework will be let for a period of three years with an option for a further year's provision, making 4 years in total.
