II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:
The Council's preference is to appoint a single furniture provider for all aspects of the project. The requirement for a single supplier is based on limiting risk associated with the Project. The timescales for delivery are challenging and any delays on installation will impact on the Council's exposure to further costs. The furniture contract will be awarded to the tenderer who can demonstrate best value, best quality and lowest risk.
The contract will be fixed for a two year period, anticipated to start from 31.3.2014 There will be an option to extend the contract period for up to one (1) year based on demand and at the sole discretion of the council.

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: The Authority will apply all the offences listed in Article 45(1) of Directive 2004/18/EC (implemented as Regulation 23(1) of the Public Contract Regulations (PCR) 2006 in the UK) and all of the professional misconducts listed at Article 45(2) of Directive 2004/18/EC (see also Regulation 23(2) in the PCR 2006) to the decision of whether a Candidate is eligible to be invited to tender.
