II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking replacement of the current automated electrophoresis system in the Biochemistry department. We have recently consolidated all electrophoresis work onto the York site to provide a more cost-effective way of delivering our protein electrophoresis service. The system must be capable of handling 7000 electrophoresis samples annually with a 10 %
increase per year thereafter. The supplier must be able to supply the equipment and reagents required to undertake our current repertoire of electrophoresis tests. The supplier will also be required to provide support for maintenance and training.

The equipment and reagents must be able to undertake Alk Phos Isoenzymes, Bence Jones Protein, Electrophoresis,
Serum Immunofixation & Urine Immunofixation. The supplier will also be required to provide support for maintenance and training.
