The Defence General Munitions Team, part of the UK Ministry of Defence ("MoD”) intends to award a 2 year contract with potential for an extension up to a maximum of 4 years depending on the out of service date (OSD) to GDOTS for Phalanx 20mm Mk149 round for technical reasons relating to interoperability and safety . It is considered that this contract can be placed using the Negotiated Procedure Without Prior Publication of a contract notice pursuant to Article 28(3)(a) of Directive 2009/81/EC (Regulation 16(1)(b)(i) of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011).
