II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)Tenders are invited for the supply and delivery of pedestrian mowers and tractors in three separate lots for the Council's Parks Services department. The details of the items required have been set out in the Specification in the Invitation to Tender. All machinery offered to comply with the appropriate regulations associated with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 (as amended). Within the award criteria for Lot 1, the technical evaluation will include a trial of the proposed machinery offered. The trial will be formally evaluated and the scoring will be weighted as part of the technical evaluation. The trial of each type of machine will last for a period of one week and Tenderers will be expected to provide the machinery free of charge for this period. The trial will take place during July and August 2013 and will be undertaken by officers of the Council whose role it is to carry out the service. All Tenderers should contact Garry Stainer (Fleet & Garage Manager) on by the 28.6.2013 so arrangements can be agreed.
