The objective of the procurement exercise is to appoint a range of experienced and established Print Service contractors to a framework. The Print Services are as set out in 7 lots.

Named authorities who may choose to use this arrangement are: Warwick, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Wyre Forest, Wychavon, Malvern Hills and Worcester City. However, this arrangement is open and available for all West Midlands authorities as listed on the IEWM Map - http://hub.westmidlandsiep.gov.uk/cncil.asp?PageRef=59.

NB The value range in 11.4.1 is the estimated potential value of known participating authorities, based on an approximate spend in the last 12 months. More information is available in the ITT Reference: table 1 page 4. There are authorities that have expressed an interest in joining this arrangement at a later date but this is not guaranteed. The value of the rest of the West Midlands authorities that have not been named is estimated in the range shown.

Web offset is a form of offset printing in which a continuous roll of paper is fed through the printing press. Pages are separated and cut to size after they have been printed. 1)Short description
The provision of lower quantities of brochures, leaflets, flyers, cards, folders.
Digital printing refers to methods of printing from a digital based image directly on to a variety of media. Printing of small run jobs from desktop publishing and other digital sources are printed using large format and/or high volume laser or inkjet printers. Digital printing has a higher cost per page than more traditional offset lithographic printing methods but this price is usually offset by the cost saving in avoiding all the technical steps in between needed to make printing plates. It also allows for on demand printing, short turn around, and even a modification of the image (variable data) with each impression.
