Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking expressions of interest to provide staff and visitor catering and retail services across 3 sites.
This project is intended to provide an evidence-based proposal to change the types of food, drink and other forms of retail catering available and how it is presented to staff members and the and the public.
A key aspect will be to encourage and enable people to eat and drink more healthily whilst at work or visiting our hospitals with an appropriate range, choice and accessibility being made available.
Of equal importance is the requirement to provide a fairly priced sustainability-focused non-food offer which meets the aspirations of patients, staff, visitors and relatives.

Please note: The authority is not required to publish a contract notice in the OJEU for this contract because the award is of a services concession contract. The awarding authority has published a contract notice on a voluntary basis. Notwithstanding publication of the contract notice, the authority will not be bound to follow any particular award procedure. It will not be deemed to be subject to Directive 2014/24/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, Council Directive 89/665/EEC or the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 by reason of publication of the contract notice. The procurement of this concession contract is governed by EU Treaty principles. The authority therefore reserves the right to deviate from the requirements of the Directive and use the flexibility permitted by the Treaty throughout the procurement procedure.
