Lot 1:
Contract Cleaning.
The University of Sunderland is committed to providing a highly efficient, proactive and flexible range of modern front line services that offer value for money and excellent customer service. Therefore, we are seeking to procure the services of a contractor to provide cleaning services to a high profile visitor attraction, offices and workshop areas. Whilst offering a quality service, it is important to enhance our commitment to minimising the effect of our activities on the environment by reducing consumption, re-using materials, recycling and working towards reducing landfill waste.
Lot 2:
Halls Cleaning.
The University of Sunderland is committed to providing a highly efficient, proactive and flexible range of modern front line services that offer value for money and excellent customer service. Therefore, we are seeking to procure the services of a contractor to provide residential cleaning services for Summer Deep Cleaning and cleaning support cover for sickness and holidays for 52 weeks annually in Residential Areas. Whilst offering a quality service, it is important to enhance our commitment to minimising the effect of our activities on the environment by reducing consumption, re-using materials, recycling and working towards reducing landfill waste.
Lot 3:
Window Cleaning.
The University of Sunderland seeks suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to provide a window cleaning service for all buildings. This will include internal and external cleaning at the frequency identified within the pricing schedule. The contract will also include the cleaning of the external metal cladding on Edinburgh building.
Lot 4:
Feminine Hygiene.
The University of Sunderland seeks suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to provide a completely managed service to include both sanitary and nappy bin disposal and the provision of sanitary vending machines with filling service.
Lot 5:
Gutter Cleaning.
The University of Sunderland seeks suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to provide gutter cleaning services throughout it's estate.
Lot 6:
Pest Control.
The University of Sunderland seeks suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to provide pest control services throughout its estate.
Lot 7:
Halls Security.
To provide security guarding and general campus services to the University. The duties broadly consist of security, portering (including light domestic duties and soft Facilities Management) and reception duties to 3 separate hall of residence sites. The primary aim of the residential security team is to provide a high level of customer service and protect University property, residents, visitors, staff and their property from any acts of a criminal nature.
The secondary aim is to assist/support the Residential Services operation in providing portering and reception duties.
Lot 8:
Ad hoc Security.
The contract would also cover the provision of ad hoc security throughout the University. Ad hoc security is used in many ways. It may be to help with a large event (for example the Fresher's Fayre) to patrol, assist on car parking, access management, etc. It may also be to provide door supervision for an event or to assist with the university operation should we require support to cover sickness, etc.
Lot 9:
Winter Maintenance (Gritting and Snow Clearance).
The University of Sunderland has a statutory duty to take such steps as it considers reasonable to prevent snow and ice endangering the safe passage of staff, students and vehicles in adverse weather conditions.
The Contractor will be responsible for carrying out salting and snow clearing to roads and car parks, as identified.
Any commissions under this contract or framework maybe subject to external funding from bodies such as Arts Council, ERDF, Heritage Lottery Fund, LEP, etc. and the successful suppliers will be expected to work with the University on any funding applications where appropriate. This list of funding bodies is not exhaustive.
