Estimated total value of purchases for the entire duration of the framework agreement
Estimated value excluding VAT: 9 000 000 GBPWhilst the overall aim of the project is to satisfy all the Department’s GI requirements over the long term, the overriding objective in the first three years is to deliver a technical solution that will satisfy EU requirements for a fully compliant Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS). This will replace the previous GIS that has been in place since December 2004 and will address shortcomings and mitigate the risk of EU disallowance penalties. DARD also needs to implement a technical solution that will enable it to meet its obligations under the EU INSPIRE Directive.

Developed applications - the successful supplier will design, build and implement bespoke GI business applications including integration with existing business information systems;
Geoportal - the successful supplier will design, build & implement a spatial data hub to enable spatial data exchange and sharing (internally within the Department & externally); and.
Online GI Services - the successful supplier will design, build and implement online facilities to provide GI functionality and transactional mapping services for a range of external stakeholders & customers.
