The University of Sheffield is creating an aerospace engineering simulation facility (AESF) to be used for teaching aerospace subjects such as aerodynamics, flight mechanics and flight dynamics and control, as well as avionics, systems design for aerospace applications, vehicle design, control engineering, computer science, human factors and for basic flight training.
This contract is for 2 Lots, and both Lots will be awarded to the same supplier.
Lot 1: a cockpit flight simulator with associated control desk.
Lot 2: two bench top flight simulator consoles.
The contract is for supply, installation and commissioning of both Lots, with warranty and service contracts for 3 or more years.
