The contracting authority, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) will enter into an Advanced Works Agreement based on the NEC3 Option A printed form for early works in connection with the design and construction of a Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) Centre and Inpatient Hospital. The works will comprise of:
1) Enabling works and service diversions as part of a Pre-Construction Works Package;
2) Design and Construction of below ground PBT facility; Design and Construction of above ground Inpatient Hospital;
3) Day Surgery Unit; and
4) Non medical facilities including commercial and retail facilities, facilities management and ICT accommodation and parking/drop-off/ambulance provision.
The Authority intends to execute the contract in 2 stages:
Stage 1: Pre-Construction (under an Advanced Works Agreement (AWA));
Stage 2: Main Contract (under NEC3 Option A Priced contract with activity schedule).
The first stage will comprise of those activities indicated at (1) above and also, the design elements of those activities indicated at (2), (3) and (4).
