Solihull Community Housing (SCH) is looking to appoint a suitable contractor to carry out waste management services at our Asset Management Hub at Chapelhouse Road in Chelmsley Wood, Solihull.
The Maintenance Services Team operates from an office and yard facility in Chelmsley Wood, Solihull which supports the delivery of their work. This facility is a registered waste transfer station.
Waste is brought into the yard from the Maintenance Services Team, Estate Management and Solihull Community Housing Contractors and includes but is not limited to, waste materials associated with building maintenance works, fly tipped waste and asbestos
The service required under this contract will be in respect of:
- Mobile Compactor for Mixed Construction Waste,
- Roll on Roll Off Skips for:
- Mixed Construction Waste,
- Scrap Metal,
- Mattresses,
- Enclosed Skips for:
- Glass,
- Confidential Waste,
- Asbestos.
It is anticipated that the Contract shall commence 1.10.2015.
The proposed term of this Contract is for a period of 3 years with an option to extend, subject to performance, by up to a further 12 month period.
The Contract value is estimated at GBP 95 000 per annum.
The successful contractor is to be selected through a formal open tender process.
Interested applicants must download and complete a set of tender documents.
The closing date for the submission of completed tenders is no later than 12:00 noon on Monday 10.8.2015.
Site Visit

Tenderers are welcome to attend an information site visit at the Chapelhouse Asset Management Hub, to see the site and the waste units. This site visit will be held on Wednesday 8th July at 2:00 pm. All tenderers interested in attending the visit must register by sending a message through the Correspondence feature.
