Notting Hill Housing Trust (NHHT) is looking to establishing a 5 year contract (for a minimum of 3 years with the option to extend for up to two (2) years) for the provision of Insurance Services via Broker or a Direct Writer for the placement and management of a suite of Corporate classes of Insurance which the claims management of any claims arising out of the insurance policies during the duration of the contract. This tender will be run as an Open (one stage) full OJEU tender process. This means the qualification stage will be run at the same time as the invitation to tender (ITT) stage. The new contract will be effective from 1 minute past Midnight on 1.9.2015.
NHHT has divided this Contract into 2 Lots - Brokerage Services (Lot 1) and Direct Writing (Insurer). To clarify NHHT is looking to appoint either 1 Broker or 1 Direct Insurer from across both Lots. Bidders should note that NHHT's Contractors All Risks policy will be included within this Contract with effect from the 1.9.2016 in additional to the policies currently requested to be placed under this tender.

This Lot is to be used by a Broker who has access to the Lloyds and UK Insurance market to secure best market rates for the required classes of insurance, and assist the Insured that their client to conclude all claims through those classes of insurance at best possible settlement. They should also be able to provide advice and assistance in providing enterprise risk management solutions to their client. The Broker must have experience in the registered social landlord sector.

Lot No: 2 Lot title: Lot 2 - Direct Writing Underwriter1)Short description
This Lot is to be used by Insurers who do not engage with Brokers and are Direct Writing Underwriter's able to provide insurance cover for Corporate Classes of Insurance, claims management, enterprise risk management advice and to conclude all claims through those classes of insurance at best possible settlement. The Direct Insurer must have experience in the registered social landlord sector.

Description of particular conditions: Bidders must formulate their proposed policy wording using the ABI's new standard model of contractual terms and best practice guidelines, which have been introduced following the enactment of the Insurance Act 2015.
