II.4)Short description of nature and quantity or value of supplies or services:
Westminster City Council (WCC) as lead authority intends to undertake a competitive tendering procurement on behalf of itself, the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham (H F) and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) for the provision of a School Health Service. The procurement exercise aims to award three contracts, one for each borough.
The services commissioned will improve the health and well-being and reduce the health inequalities of children and young people who attend state schools in the three boroughs by:
- Leading and providing a range of services including statutory services such as the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP), Relationships and Sex Education and contributing to Education and Healthcare Plans (EHC) for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Contributing, co-ordinating and facilitating access to a range of services such as: parent/carers and school staff health information and advice; Family Healthy Weight services; Sexual Health Services.
- Enabling, connecting and improving access to services by building relationships and partnerships with GPs, Health Visitors, social care workers and other relevant local players.
The contract value range is a combined annual value for all three boroughs.
Prior to commencing any formal public procurement process, H F, RBKC and WCC wish to engage with interested providers to ensure the expertise of providers contributes to service design.
The three boroughs invite providers with experience of delivery of these types of services to a supplier engagement event on the afternoon of Monday 20.7.2015.
