Portsmouth City Council (the 'Council') has awarded a contract to provide a community café service at Somerstown Central (formerly Somerstown Community Hub) via a lease agreement with attached service levels that must be achieved.
Under the agreement the Council will not pay the Operator any financial consideration for the provision of the services. Instead the Operator will pay the Council a % of total sales turnover on a quarterly basis.
The cafe is due to open in July 2014 and the lease will run for an initial 3 year term extendable in increments to be agreed to a maximum total term of 7 years, subject to performance and agreement of both parties.
