To provide a TfL branded, prepaid closed-loop contactless payment card (TfL CPC) to be serviced online for both retail and account management.
The TfL CPC criteria:
- Applications will be online;
- Customers will pay a refundable deposit for the card;
- All top up transactions will be free to the cardholder;
- All transactions for travel in London will be free to the cardholder;
- Customers will top up their TfL CPC online;
- Customers will receive account status notifications to support management of their TfL CPC account.
Our system will treat this card like any other CPC; following the Transit Transaction Model. This approach is intended to result in minimal changes to our systems and be ready for customer use by early 2016.
The TfL CPC criteria:
