Financial and insurance services. Financial consultancy services. Financial management consultancy services. The council requires the provision of a tailored and confidential financial information and advice service within Stevenage. This information and advice must be impartial, accessible and free of charge to all Stevenage residents irrespective of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion/belief, disability or socio-economic factors. The service must result in added social benefits to the residents and town of Stevenage through increased uptake of benefits and other awards, increased employability of residents, and a reduction in bankruptcy declarations.

The contract will be for a period of 3 years to commence on 1.4.2015 and finish on 31.3.2018 with an option to extend for a further three years as 1 year blocks i.e. 1 year +1 year +1 year to 31.3.2021. The total value of this contract will be GBP 960 000 if all extensions to the contract are taken up.

The Council reserves the right not to award any contract and to terminate the procurement at any stage. The Council accepts no responsibility for any costs for preparation or submission of tenders. Additionally the Council has duties under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR) and may disclose information to a person making a request pursuant to the FIOA and/or EIR unless the information requested is exempt from disclosure under the FOIA and/or EIR; and the Council considers that the public interest in withholding the disclosure outweighs the public interest in disclosing it.
