II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)The Liverpool Philharmonic is looking to appoint a single contractor to undertake the construction of a new extension and the refurbishment of the existing Grade II* Listed Building, comprising the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Hope Street, Liverpool. Construction will commence in March 2014 with sectional completion of the Hall in October 2014 and practical completion of the entire project achieved in Spring 2015. The project is funded by Arts Council England, Liverpool City Council and a range of other public and private sources. This prequalification exercise will allow The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society to shortlist a maximum of 7 (seven) providers to be invited to tender for the works.
