CWHT wishes to procure a Framework Agreement pursuant to which it is envisaged that contracts will be let to contractors within the Framework for the carrying out of a range of stock investment and maintenance works, as further detailed in the 'Information About Lots' section of this Notice and the Pre QualificationQuestionnaire (PQQ) for the procurement.
The proposed Framework Agreement will be in place for a maximum period of 4 years, however contracts called-off under the Framework Agreement may, where appropriate, continue beyond the 4 year term of the Framework.
The Framework Agreement will be divided into 9 Lots. These Lots, a summary of the types of contracts that will be called off under each of them and the total estimated value of these over the four year Framework term are set out in the 'Information About Lots' section of this Notice and the PQQ. Applicants should indicate which Lot(s) they wish to be considered for inclusion into.
Under the Framework Agreement CWHT will have the option to call-off contracts with individual contractors as and when works and services are required. In addition other Social Housing Providers in the UK (both those that are in existence now and those that may come into existence during the term of the Framework Agreement) will also be entitled to call-off contracts under the Framework Agreement. "Social Housing Provider" for this purpose means any provider of social housing and includes registered housing providers, local authorities, local government ALMOs and unitary authorities. A list of these can be found by visiting www.homesandcommunities.co.uk. Such Social Housing Providers will only be entitled to call off under the Framework Agreement if CWHT consents.
Applicants should note that, under the Framework Agreement, CWHT (and other Social Housing Providers) shall not be under any obligation to call-off contracts with individual contractors.

Lot No: 8 Lot title: Renewables1)Short descriptionCWHT will continue to look into and invest in energy efficient measures and renewable technologies to further reduce our carbon footprint and our customers reliance on fossil fuels. Whilst this is an ever changing industry, it is envisaged that contracts called off under this Lot of the Framework Agreement will be for the provision of photo voltaics (PV), solar thermal, air-source heat pumps, district heating systems, ground source heat pumps, biomass boilers, external and internal wall insulation, lighting systems, cavity and loft insulation and other such technologies and systems.
Contracts called off under this Lot of the Framework could be for any value, with contracts for less than 500 000 GBP at one end of the scale and contracts for more than 5 000 000 GBP at the other.
